livediehockey80 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 Congratulations to the Senators for reaching the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time! Uh yeah...I am calling this series over. When Buffalo drops two big ones at home...there is no way the Sabres (or ANY hockey team) can recover. Tough luck for the Sabres and hopefully we will see the Sens in the Finals. #19forPresident! 1 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 If Corvo could perfect that one bouncing knuckler from the point he would score 50 goals a year..what an ugly shot..but hey it found the back of the net!! Yeah you're not kidding, you won't stop that one w/o the hockey gods helping you out 9 times out of 10. I thoguht they deserved the win though, Buffalo deserved another shot coming up big at the end of regulation, but they were stale in OT, out hustled in the corners, and outskated down the ice. Props to the Sens for 2 tough road wins, and GL to Buffalo; anything is possible, but coming back in that series will be very very difficult. As for me, here's to a game 7, gogo Sabres get back in it so you guys can beat each other up and down for 2 weeks.
Wild Wing 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 As hard as it was for me to like a Kings player ( ), I've always loved Corvo, but he always shoots it so awkwardly. Whatever, he still found the net. I have to admit, I like the way Ottawa plays, and I like how they beat New Jersey even more.

Detroit vs Vancouver just a couple years ago, I believe we lost our first 2 games at home, then turned the series around and won
vangvace 12 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 Congratulations to the Senators for reaching the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time! hmm. I always thought that they kept their history from the first Sens left like the Cleveland Browns did. Guess I was wrong though since I couldn't google it. Should make for an interesting opponent. ladybugblue 0 Report post Posted May 13, 2007 Buffalo is not the 2002 Detroit Red Wings. That, and I think it is much harder to do in the third round against a harder opponent. From what I was hearing no team has come back from 2-0 at home other than the first or second rounds against opponents that were a much lower seed. I could be wrong though. Go Sens Go!!
