The chances of there being a Senators fan in California is slim to none. Unless they want to buy tickets to the Honda Center, and fly all the way from Ottawa to Anaheim just to see the game. Unlike the Wings, the Senators don't have fans coming out of all corners of the country.

im sure there are some....s*** i didnt think there would be any canuck fans in the honda center but there was definetly a good amount....

Vancouver to Anaheim is a somewhat logical travel destination. In fact, you could drive from Vancouver to Anaheim in about a day.

Ottawa to Anaheim is not a very logical travel destination at all. You'd be paying a boatload for plane tickets, and it would take you about 3 days to drive there. I don't think you'll see many Sens fans at the Honda Center. Likewise Ducks fans at Scotiabank Place.

According to the radio guys, an employee at the Honda center who was serving the Red Wings after the last game said everyone made sure each of the players got plenty of napkins...far more than what they normally would have handed out...to use as crying towels too. ;)

That was so sweet of him... do wish he would have been around with some of those napkins when Homer lay bleeding on the ice.

Maybe he was too busy cheering it along with fellow Duckfans? :P

One big clue as to it being viewed as from Red Wing fans was the big red wings pasted on his garage door. Pretty bad timing to as the family was dealing with yet another medical issue with his new born son earlier that day. Classy.

 Is Maxime ok? They said it was bad timing, not that the Wings fans planned it out. It still was really classless. There are quite a few Ducks fans that live in his neighborhood and I'm assuming this is one of them.

I sure hope little Maxime is ok.... :( And if the people in FLORIDA know about the medical condition with his son, then the Wings fans should know a long with all the people in SoCal, so you can't say it was ignorace. Just arrogance.

Good luck in the finals (Except Pronger of course.)

I hope the child is OK. I have to wonder why you would assume Wings fans would know about a Ducks player's personal life.

Apparently us Wings fans are supposed to use our Mind Readingâ„¢ abilities to dive into the deepest parts of Giguere's brain and know exactly what he is thinking, what his problems are, and what is going on in his personal life. Yeah, that's right.

Duckette, seriously: The arrogance is not needed. You talk of us having arrogance, yet, look what you basically said in your post. How are Wings fans supposed to know about something that was hardly ever mentioned in the media at all? Unless you expect us to all be friends with various NHL figures (hint: like you and Jay Feaster), or go totally out of our way to find every single problem in the personal lives of the Ducks, you're being totally unrealistic.

Besides that, name one person in Florida, other than yourself and Jay Feaster, that had any idea what was happening with Giguere. This should be interesting.

Ok. I figured that you would know in Detroit. There were tons of articles about it not only on ESPN but in our local papers. My mistake.

Mr. Feaster didn't tell me about the thing with Jiggy. And I didn't go out of my way to find it. Anyone else that had any idea? My entire hockey team (all of them hate the Ducks) 75% of the hockey fans at my school, people in my neighborhood, other people at sports stores I converse with. Is that enough people for you?

I thought you'd have coverage of that. The BJ's knew of it and constantly talked about it during the last game of the season between them. I thought someone in Detroit would have picked up on that before the series.

Plus, in my post, I didn't mean necessarily Wings fans in Detroit, but the Wings fans in Cali that would have done the TPing. I think they'd have to live there or have some sort of connections to figure out where Jiggy lives. They would most likely know since it was all over the SoCal news.

I wasn't expecting you to find out every single personal problem in the lives of the Ducks. And whether you knew what was going on or not, TPing his house was still lame.

The only thing I'm worried about is his sons health.

Duckette, I think/hope that maybe you're looking at it the wrong way-- it seems to me that Jiggy got a laugh out of it, and that's rather a healthy thing when someone is going through the incredible stress that he must have been/is under. At least, I'm choosing to wear my rose-colored glasses about this.... I'm certainly not recommending home renovation via TP as a stress cure, just hoping that the family was indeed amused (per Jiggy's remarks) and not upset. Personally, I knew nothing about his son's health issues till I read them in this thread, and I read, near compulsively, articles from Detroit papers, ESPN, TSN, NHL.com, and all the newspapers from your neck of the woods (even looked at Duck boards a time or three), and I still missed any mention of it.

(which, in retrospect, seems a good thing: players' personal lives are no one else's business)

Best wishes for a speedy and happy outcome for the babe.

I think I might have found it more shocking than upsetting. If he got a good laugh out of it, fine. I still worry about Maxime.

What's wrong with his son? I heard awhile back that he was really ill, but got better. Did something happen just recently again? I hope he's okay.

First of all, I think the comment make by Luongo that it was bad timing i.e. something was bad with his son on that particular night, was wrong.

Giguere has said time after time that after the initial diagnosis (his son was born with a medical condition whereby his right eye is small and therefore, he may never be able to see out of it. when it was originally discovered in the hospital, there was concern that there was a problem with the left eye as well leaving Giguere and his wife to wait for about 4 days to wonder whether their baby was going to be totally blind. after it was determined that the left eye just had some trauma due to the birth and they were assured that the baby would be able to see from at least his left eye, Giguere and his wife were very relieved. he has said that he believes his son will live a full complete life and be able to do whatever he wants and he cannot ask for more than that.) that his son is absolutely fine and doing everything that any other baby would do. Giguere is constantly doing interviews and the latest is that they will try to do a surgery to get his right eye to develop more and then hopefully they can work with the vision part afterwards. His baby has been in the locker room with him several times so we're all just waiting to see him put Maxime in the Cup now!!

It is a bit interesting though that the Detroit newspapers made no mention of this, it was on TSN, ESPN, NHL, etc...he did sit out 3 games of the first playoff series because Carlyle felt that because of the time off and emotional toll that Bryzgalov was the better choice. He came in mid-way through the only game we lost against the Wild and has played in every game since.

Awww well that's great news about his son. Hopefully he'll be 100% and that he gets surgery if need be.

Yeah, no one has honestly mentioned it over here in Detroit. The only reason I know is because I read it right before the playoffs began on ESPN. No one on here even had a clue about it.
