1. You don't know Mac. He doesn't ***** out of anything.

2. The guy is maybe 5'9" and Neil left his feet, his elbows were near Mac's head while his feet were still ON the ice.

3. Same thing could be said about the Pronger hit. McAmmond ducked down at the last second and went into the elbow, which made it look bad.

The fact that Campbell will only review a play if someone got injured during that play is a freaking joke. The idiot should be castrated, if there's anything to castrate. That was a dangerous play. And you think McAmmond has a bad history of concussions, Andy McDoanlds' is 10x worse.

while Neil may have deserved a suspension or not doesn't really matter since this topic is about Pronger, but Neil should have gotten a game for sure

McDonald being a "*****" or not doesn't matter, Neil went in with his elbow high and aimed at the head for sure

anyway one game for Pronger is such a joke, should have been 2+ since he's a repeat offender

I'm just amazed he didn't get more than one game. The league has always said that repeat offenders will get harsher suspensions. Well, considering that Pronger did this just a few games ago AND got suspended for it...well...yeah, that's Colin Campbell for you. Realistically, he should have been suspended for at least 3 games. A single game didn't send a message last time; it won't this time either.

Quoted for truth.

Do you think if this wasn't the playoffs Colin Campbell would have reacted differently? Because we know if it was some random guy...oh I don't know like Jamie McLennan for example...the punishment would be more severe.

I'm just wondering if Pronger has pulled stuff like this during the season and we haven't seen it because we don't watch him obsessively like we watch the Wings. You would think if he keeps this up he'd have an NHL parole officer of sorts.

no, you and your Duck's butt buddy are idiots... I said HE DIDN'T WANT TO TAKE THE HIT ("*****") and turned and tried to dodge it, that's why Neil went flying over him with his arms out, he was going to explode into the hit and whoever the other guy was didn't wanna take the hit... learn to read, but you obviously came here to stir up s*** so what I type really has no effect anyways

Haha.

Ok, what you quoted wasn't my opinion. I think the suspension was just and think it should have been at least two so the moron would get it. I was just trying to make a point. You can always bend things to look one way or the other ;)

How many repeat offenses by pronger is it gonna take for the NHL to realize hes a goon? Maybe when he stops fornicating his star power with Colin Campbell

The league (edit) :could justifiably suspend Chris Pronger every 3rd or 4th game for something he does out there.

And he could probably be called for at least 5 penalties a game.

So maybe the elbow to the head suspension was a tough call but Pronger having to sit a game is hardly f*5king unfair.

i want everyone to look at these pictures and read this article...

http://talksic.typepad.com/talksic/

Did Pronger deserve a suspension? yes

Did Neil Deserve one too? YES

just cuz andy mcdonald wasnt hurt they dont review the hit...

I looked at the pics and I may be wrong but to me it seems like neils skates don't leave the groung until they fell. I am not stating that he should not get suspended just that it is obvious that his skates did not leave the ground. IF I were a ducks fan I would be looking for every detail to find something to. Since I am a temporary Sens fan I say no suspension  . Oh and Pronger if your own fans think your an idiot than maybe it is time to stop your teeth from acting out!

Ok seriously allducks.com posters against the suspension are retarted. You know you're wrong when every other teams fans agree with the suspension. Repeat offender! Pronger should have gotten longer than 1 game. It’s the second time he gotten the boot for a game this playoffs. Make it 2 or more games.

I agree with the call on the ice for Neil. It was a charge he did leave his feet, but that happens so often during the season and the same call happens. There’s no need for a suspension.

I agree , It's about time the NHL started following there own rule's and punish a repeat offender . The thing I can't get out of my head is that the way Pronger play's the game , he's going to eventually seriously hurt someone.

I think the "ducking at the last second" that you're referring to is McAmmond's head getting whiplashed from Pronger's elbow! Don't kid yourself, McAmmond didn't duck at all, and Pronger's elbow hit right were he placed it.

Actually it doesn't surpirse me that he only got one game for it. They throw out player's naughty history (majors, misconducts, and whatnots) on penalties that happened during the playoffs once it hits SCF. I think that they did the same thing in this case based on the substandards put in place by the rulebook, even though this is outside the rulebook's realm I believe.

Do I agree with it is a different story...

As for Neil's hit, yes I could have seen a suspension for it as well. But I would rather see a beating instead.

I'm not surprised it was only one game but it should have been the series. Apparently you must either kill the guy, or at a minumum, break his neck before the league gets serious. Pronger has been head hunting this playoff season. It's the second time in only two series and again they give him a slap on the wrist. One of these days he is going to kill someone with his dirty play, and that is what it was, dirty play. He is acting like a punk. For a guy who is supposed to be such a great talent, he sure likes acting like a forth line goon trying to hang on.

He is a dirt bag and i hope that someday someone pays him back for all cheap BS that he has pulled.

I am waiting ont eh edge of my seat for that day! I think the thing that I can't stand him the most for, if the fact that he never owns up to what he has done. Talking about the "physics" of how he is talled so of course he will hurt a guy. Or that his helmet wasnt on right. Or claiming that he was just finishing a check, or this or that. He has too many excuses. Just be a man and own up to what you did. Then realize your an a-hole and knock it off.

He came up behind Pahlsson, pulled off his helmet, pinned him on the Sens bench and started trying to rip his face and hair off. Niel also had a dirty hit on Mac, but he wasn't hurt so there was no call <_<

Those incidents are not even comparable to what dirty ass Pronger did. What Pronger did was he TRIED and SUCCEEDED in purposely injuring another player. You don't drill your elbow into someones head while they are skating full blast unless you're trying to hurt the guy. And that sorta bulls*** has NO PLACE in this game. Thats absolutely pathetic tactics, and classless is an understatement. So to even try to compare pulling at someones head and hair, or even Niel's hit to what Pronger did is completely laughable. But its all good, cause after the Sens tie up the series tonight, their momentum will definitely carry them to the Cup. A piece of trash like Pronger shouldn't even be in the same room with the Cup. What a bum.

Duckette, have you ever seen a scrum or a face wash before? Ever seen two guys around the net after a whistle just crunching their mits into another guy's face until a ref can pry them apart? I saw the Spezza/Pahlsson thing on the highlights. I don't know the context of when it happened or if there was a penalty but without a doubt in my mind Spezza should've been called for roughing on that play. Even though that kind of stuff happens all the time he should've been called for roughing. However, some duck fans, especially the geniuses over on allducks.com think that was the most egregious act ever perpetrated by a hockey player. I love the overly dramatic depictions of what happened to. Listening to Duck fans you'd think Spezza had Pahlsson pinned to the ice on his back and with his gloves off, was digging his thumbs into the corners of Sami's eyes to try and pluck them out. Sheesh, talk about drama queens over there. He had Palhsson from behind and he was ripping and rubbing at his face with his glove on I believe. I've had that done about 1000 times to me and i've done it a 1000 times to other people and nobody has ever lost an eye or had their hair yanked from their scalp or been decapitated from a lil' glove on face washin that I know of. It's called roughing and its no big deal, players pop each other in the kisser and rub their stank ass gloves into another guy's mush all the time. Why oh why duck fans think its such a big deal and not just what shoulda been a minor penalty shows the lack of general knowledge going on over there by the masses.

I agree, MacDonald isn't a *****, he plays very hard. As a matter of fact, the way Mac plays puts him one level below Pronger on my Hate-O-meter. Why? Because Andy is chippy. And believe me, I like chippy, but not when its on the other team. Mac has a knack for getting in late shots on people. He likes to shove people, give light cross checks and or pop a guy up high after the whistle. He does it all the time. Granted, he never does hard enough to hurt anybody and I know he's only doing it to maybe egg somebody into taking a retaliatory penalty but god, I'll watch him run around and shove somebody after a whistle and i'll crack up because I know one of these days somebody is just going to say "F" it and drop the mits and smack his ass into the ice. He's a very good player IMO but he can't fight his way out of a wet paper bag. I think that's why I don't like his chippiness. Prolly why folks don't like Kirk Matlby.
