Owen Nolan at $1.75M would have been nice

Not sure if Kenny even got a chance to talk with him, but I think he would have been a good pickup at that price.

I'm still hoping for Guerin or even Glen Murray. I'd love for the Wings to get a big, physical North American winger.

Are you kidding me?????

Owen Nolan is not anyone the Wings should pick up.

He is one of the biggest pieces of garbage in the history of the NHL.

Just ask the Leaf organization on how he got hurt and then screwed them around for a few years.

No way if the Wings had signed him I would know something was wrong with management.

You really want to take me on where Hasek is concerned??? :P

That whole thing has been SO overblown, it's completely hilarious.

the truth about the "called shot" in 1997

"Owen Nolan's third period goal happened on a breakaway; as he closed in on Eastern goaltender Dominik Hasek, Nolan pointed in Hasek's direction in an imitation of Babe Ruth's called shot and then fired the puck high to the glove side to end the West's frustration from not scoring all period despite peppering Hasek with shots. Nolan would later admit that his point wasn't in fact a "called shot", but that he was basically asking Hasek to give him a break after missing two breakaways earlier in the period. "

So much for the myth of Nolan beating Dom. Hasek let him. End of story.

Nolan was a prick in San Jose, they were thrilled when he left. I hope he never sets foot in Detroit. That's all.
