Signing a UFA and then promptly trading him is usually frowned upon, but it's not like the trade of Willy discouraged Rafalski. No, I know he was an RFA, but you don't think some of the UFA's are going to think why would I bother signing with you to have my butt traded to another team that I didn't sign up for originally? It's a thread full of totally unrealistic trade ideas that we'd all somehow get done if we owned the team. In other words.. never gonna happen. Lilja showed us a good game this post-season, but he isn't really a beast. Huds is really the biggest trade bait out of the two... but even he isn't worth anything yet. kindlwillbegreat 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2007 i was thinking about brett lebda .....do you guys think he could be a throw in , in a package deal ?? his 650k salary for another 3 seasons can be a + in adding him in adeal to get someone , which might also be the reason we keep him but hes only 5'9 and we got quincey who can jump in and can take his spot , is bigger and can play with chelios as well and would be in the same price range , and the next few years kindl,ericsson,meech will get there shots and hopefully in 3-4 yrs brendan smith will as well ...........so would you guys include lebda in a deal to get somethin ?
