lfd250 1 Report post Posted July 9, 2007 Dear Season Ticket Holder: Building on our strong heritage and great tradition, plans are in full swing for “Fire on Ice†during the upcoming 2007-08 Red Wings season. We’re looking forward to another exciting and successful year. At the end of last season, we set out to aggressively evaluate our club’s past and present programs and services for season ticket holders. We conducted several focus groups and surveys and, as a result of your candid feedback, were able to identify what is most important to you, our fans. To that end, we’ve responded by making significant changes and enhancements to our 2007-08 Season Ticket Holder Program. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that for the sixth consecutive season, there will once again be no ticket price increases. In the next 10 days, we’ll be mailing renewal forms and information regarding new benefits, new payment plans and other amenities for our valued season ticket holders. Please watch for your package in the mail, and if you have any questions, dial 313-396-7575 and the Season Ticket Office staff will be standing by to assist you. We trust you’ll enjoy the new features introduced by our team and look forward to seeing you back at The Joe this fall. Go Red Wings!

How do you arrive at attendance becoming worse from what Ifd250 copied and pasted? Sounds so me like the Wings organization is trying to boost attendance. OsGOD 3 Report post Posted July 9, 2007 As long as the ******* luxuary tax doesn't get passed this is sorta good news. What sucks! How do you arrive at attendance becoming worse from what Ifd250 copied and pasted? Sounds so me like the Wings organization is trying to boost attendance. Boosting attendence would be slightyly lowering ticket prices... however you can't really boost Sellouts so well yeah.
Cicada 4 Report post Posted July 9, 2007 there wasn't really a reason for lowering season ticket prices as they all sold out... playoff tickets prices is another matter though.. i'd expect them to be lowered if the economy in michigan hasn't improved, which it likely wont
KronwallCRUNCH 5 Report post Posted July 10, 2007 Screw off, Ilitch! That's why 2,000 season ticket holders opted out of playoff packages, and why this year's attendance will be just as bad. I'm not renewing next year because of the outrageous prices, I'm sure that I'm not the only one. $108 for 2 people to go to hockey game in the upper deck..give me a break. johnnyoski 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2007 Those of you complaining need to look at the price list of all teams from last year. Agreed. The Wings regular season ticket prices are actually pretty good when you compare them to what some other teams charge. The playoffs are another story. I won't be buying any playoff rounds if tickets are as much as last year. I wonder what these 'benefits' are that were mentioned in the letter. My guess is they will bring back JoeBucks. OsGOD 3 Report post Posted July 10, 2007 (edited) Those of you complaining need to look at the price list of all teams from last year. I have talked to a few people at the different venues i have been at and I was appauled to find that their orgainzation give season ticket holders DEEP discounts off the published rates if they buy for the season.... So just looking at the a simple price comparison is NOT the way to go... many organizations offer up to 15% off the face value for season ticket holders even thought their published rates are higher. Not to mention... each city has a different economic situation... Michigan holds one of if the not worst in the country... so yeah keeping ticket prices the same is a tad s***ty. For wings season ticket holders...what do you get... Face Value plus shipping and a nice per order convience charge... no discounts there!
