Jersey Numbers: Drake #17, Kopecky #82

According the Red Wings official site, Drake will wear the #17, Rafalski will wear the #28, and Kopecky will wear #82. Obviously not all the numbers are correct on the roster, but those 3 appear to be updated.

Hmm not sure I like him in 17 but since he can't have 28 that will work. I won't get a jersey until i see him on opening night since all is subject to change during camp.

Hopefully the old jersey will still be around at the stat of the year so that I can pick one up for cheap with his name & number on it.

hahaha I forgot Bret Hull was #17 or that he was actually on our team .... I just don't like the number 17 is all for me... but if that is what Drake gets, thats what I will get.

Well the other numbers that Drake has worn in the past (10,12, and 19) are retired by the Wings.

I was hoping #23 as it looks closest to his original #28 ... or #82

Are you kdding hes the #4 Goalie unless Howard, Osgood, Hasek all get injured at the same time you wont be seeing him at all

Yea and Cleary and CHeli are listed first and they aren't the best of their positions.

I don't like #17 either... but that is just because I don't like that number... I would have much rather preferred him to be #23 as it is closest looks wise to his original number with the team.

Berks already better than Howard... he is listed on the roster.

Hey, Calder didn't suck. Babcock was just stupid.

Calder was good, then he was terrible, so he averaged out to sucky. Babcock was smart to keep his ass glued to the bench in the playoffs.

I think the hope was that Calder would be like Cleary, it didn't seem to rejuvenate him (the trade) so babs sat him down.

Which is fine with me, he, babs, knew when to cut back

lang's minutes, I have faith in him.

I am not saying he is my favorite coach of all time but he is better than Dave Lewis and at least half of the other coaches in the league.

I am just hoping Hudler does something to show him he deserves more minutes. If he puts up the same points with increased minutes, then put him back down in the depth chart, but I think he earned a chance to show what he has to offer.
