Spongewingredpants 75 Report post Posted September 26, 2007 Thousands of Blackhawk fans are rejoicing...Mark my words - in a matter of a few years the Hawks will be a "good" team, & will compete @ our level. the Patrick Fischer waiver was quite a thing in my hometown of Zug, where he grew up and played prior to joining the Coyotes. Of course last night i was a the game here and he scored a goal in Zug's win, 24 hours after getting off the plane from Phoenix. GO FISCHER.- Welcome Home
DEVILSWATERBOY 10 Report post Posted September 26, 2007 He's signed in Russia for 5 years, so I'd say he's not coming back across the pond. Good for him he deserves to be in a place were he can feel stable, instead of being bounced around the NHL

Guest Yzer19 Report post Posted September 26, 2007 (edited) Brilliant! Could finally end the debate. That was just a matter of time. I wonder if anybody picks him up..... but doesn't he have a big ole contract? Nobody picked up Kasparaitis. He has been reassigned to the minors. MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted September 27, 2007 I remember the 2002 playoffs with Pilar playing great for the Leafs; shortly after that he had his run of heart related health issues...I think he's never fully recovered from all of this, & he may never regain what he had several years ago, & that's too bad since he was a solid player. Chicago must think he has something left, because they claimed him off waivers today.
eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted September 27, 2007 Chicago must think he has something left, because they claimed him off waivers today. Even if Pilar is playing poorly in Atlanta's camp, he's still better than a lot of the Hawks D.
MacK_Attack 108 Report post Posted September 27, 2007 Not totally confirmed, but it looks like the Toronto Maple Leafs have placed Scott Clemmensen, Jay Harrison, Simon Gamache, Tony Samelainen & Derrick Walser on waivers and have released Bryan Muir and Bruno St. Jacques from their tryout contracts. Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted September 27, 2007 I'd claim Harrison and stick him in the minors, decent tough guy.
