SweWings 45 Report post Posted September 24, 2007 In the first episode of season 19 Homer visits Chicago and while the episode has absolutely nothing to do with hockey really I love that he goes and buys a DETROIT jersey in Chicago with the #9 - presumably Howe. So my suspicions were right in that John Hughes tells why Cameron wears a Howe jersey. Hughes was born in Lansing, Michigan, grew up in Detroit and was a Red Wings and Howe fan. I was surprised to learn that. I figured he was raised in Chicago. Oh wait he said he went to high school there. Mmm latched onto the Wings instead of the Hawks I guess.
