Shy Ranger 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2007 Good deal for him, I'd say. $600K > $0 and playing for Carolina > playing for Phoenix or Boston (currently)...
theman19 47 Report post Posted October 6, 2007 i don't get this move. Carolina had him last year, he completly sucked. So they let him go,....he doesn't make a tryout roster,..so they sign him again?
StaticWithABeat 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2007 He'll be in the minors or Europe before long...there's not a lot of room in the NHL for offensive defensemen who score 15 points a year.

Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 Tanabe has been pronounced a draft bust for years now, and yet, he is still clinging to life in the NHL. I don't see it lasting much longer, though, because he's extremely useless in pretty much every catagory of the game. For an offensive defenseman, he really doesn't score much at all.
