betterREDthandead 58 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 As a Duck fan I wouldn't worry too much just yet. I don't think that trip to London, followed by hopping planes all around the Midwest, was really the best thing for their frame of mind. Once they get home and get a homestand under their belts things will even out for them.

Guest Agalloch Report post Posted October 7, 2007 I'm a little more worried about how the Red Wings just lost to the ******* Chicago Blackhawks. This is like this years New England Patriots losing to the Detroit Lions.
Viperar 16 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 its ok, wings lost to the hawks...not too good either
Shy Ranger 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 Gotta keep the faith - as do we. It's only the dawn of the season yet. The Ducks dominated the postseason last year, which is when it really counts. I should think Anaheim will be back in it again this season. Just be ready for Detroit's revenge this year.

This is like this years New England Patriots losing to the Detroit Lions. lol If anything is unquestionable about the '07-'08 season... at least we know that this year's fans display the same habits as the last. No worries there. Chill, Ag. The Wings will do fine. Don't let the LGW virus get you.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 ducks got out played by pens .... this year is not looking too promising... hahah maybe injuries make a diff mabye not... Don't push the damn button! Seriously, I wouldn't get worried about it (as it seems you aren't). I've been to London/Europe and getting back home, it took me about 2-3 days to get accustomed once again to living in the Central Time zone back here in the States. It takes a little time to recover from jet lag. The Ducks will be fine in about a week or so. As much as I like to travel, if I was a professional athlete I wouldn't be all that thrilled to play a game or two overseas, even though I should be used to constantly traveling when a season is in progress. I would like to keep a routine, etc. I dunno, I'm just like that in my own life. It's very structured/repetitive, usually work out early in the morning, go to work, do personal work or relax at night. It's boring more often than not but it's how I function and am most productive. omnipotent_hudler 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2007 I think as much as everyone looks forward to the hockey season starting again there's always a bit of nervousness... A couple losses look so much worse at the beginning of the season than they do midway through since there's no wins to pad the record... It's one of the reasons that hockey boards, this one especially tend to go bat s*** insane when the team takes some losses at the start of the season. The Ducks will do just fine this year, they really had a brutal schedule to start the year which is kinda unfair but then again they are the defending cup champs so I don't feel that much sympathy. Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted October 8, 2007 I'm a little more worried about how the Red Wings just lost to the ******* Chicago Blackhawks. This is like this years New England Patriots losing to the Detroit Lions. Maybe if the Wings played 16 games instead of 82 I'd agree with you. One loss in 82, however, is far from something to worry about.
DaKineMaui 8 Report post Posted October 8, 2007 Didn't the Ducks clinch the cup like 4 games ago?
irishtemper14+25 11 Report post Posted October 8, 2007 well not to be a dick to a nice guy like u, but i dont like your team at all. but i would not mind to have a rival who actually has consistent good yrs....im tired of teams that stick around for a couple years and then fall apart lol jk

wingsgirl001 983 Report post Posted October 9, 2007 ducks got out played by pens .... this year is not looking too promising... hahah maybe injuries make a diff mabye not... I wouldn't worry too much about it yet. It's still very early in the season and I think most teams are probably still trying to find their game. Heck the Wings lost to the Blackhawks the other day and I'm not worried about it (although other people seem to think it's Doomsday and we'll never make the playoffs now... ). You can't go 82-0. If we're 20-30 games into the season and you have more losses than wins, then I'd start getting worried. But right now just enjoy that hockey's back.
