Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Danny is a modest guy man, in his interview, he said it was drapes goal. Keating "Did it touch your stick" Cleary "No, definately Drapes goal *smiles*" I love him man, heart and soul, and a funny guy too!

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 I never have hope when games start out like this. Too much interruption for officating. Too much similiarity between minutes for dangerous penalties and phantom penalties.

Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Ugh... Not the best period. But it could be worse. They could have got 2 off that 5on3. But, I'm sure they will have plenty o' chances with the refs calling this game. My in-game PP predictions for the end of the game Wings 2/6 Ducks 1/
auxlepli 17 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Paul Woods said it's bad officiating not bad rules. That's funny YoungGuns1340, and tonight, very true.
Nero 20 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Do we even know what Holmstrom's alleged unsportsmanlike conduct was? After being hooked and slashed at, he was probably called for swearing.

aflac9262 211 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 I really hope these dingbats in stripes let these teams actually play hockey for the next forty minutes. This first period is a fine example of why people have a hard time watching NHL hockey these days.
WingsZR2 1 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Are we playing hockey tonight or is this just a game of who can blow their whistle first?
Sevumar 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 After being hooked and slashed at, he was probably called for swearing. Only in Anaheim can swearing get you the same amount of time in the box as smashing a guy's face into the boards.
Flip-check 6 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Did you guys see the Wings throwdown like real brothers after that Cleary board? It was marvelous. I've never seen such ferocious, uh, face washes...
joey_corleone 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2007 Are we playing hockey tonight or is this just a game of who can blow their whistle first? This officiating is so frustrating it makes me want to puke. On BOTH teams. I swear to God they blow the whistle at random intervals then draw a card out of a hat in the penalty box to see what they will call.

What IS allowed in hockey?
