Wing-in-avs-town 123 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 Anyone still thinking the wings need more "grit" in their lineup???? They held their own pretty damn well tonight
RedWingsFanatic 4 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 There is still a long time to go, but if the Wings can hold on, this will be quite a win. Going into San Jose, without three of their regulars for the majority of the game, establishing some physical play and wearing down the Sharks, this would be huge. Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 (edited) Drake got hurt in the first period. I know, and Downey is still close in TOI next to a guy who hasn't played in over a period. The next lowest is Ellis with 5:45 Edited October 19, 2007 by Wings_Dynasty

YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 Well last time I checked.. you cant play Drake when he is injured... And Downey already did his job.. People...hes saying that Downey isnt getting any time...basically the same as a guy that got injured in the first period. IMO, Downey has done nothing but provide solid play for the Wings. Hes thrown some hits, hes gotten a fight in, and he did a great job of cycling the puck against the Ducks. No reason he cant see 4 minutes a game.
Wingfan191 2 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 What's the problem with that? All he can do is fight. Yeah I don't know what people expect him to do. You want him out there costing us goals because he'll get caught out of position or get a stupid penalty putting the other team on the pp? All he's good for is fighting, and he did that.
