Icer 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 Rocky Wirtz has run the team for less than a month but he has contributed more to the future success of the Blackhawks than Bill Wirtz did in 4 decades.
Winged Scooter 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 This is good to see, I am by no means a Hawks fan, but I AM a hockey fan, and now that fans can see home games, and with the Hawks playing pretty decent hockey right now, all signs seem to point to a resurgence of a once proud O6 team. auxlepli 17 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 Yeah I meant to post this earlier. http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=62313 According to this article, the first game televised will be against the Wings on Nov. 11. It's great news for the organization IMO.
NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 Great news for Hawks fans. Obviously, this should've happened a long time ago, but with the young talent on that squad and now this, they're definitely heading in the right direction.

Rob the Badger 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 I am by no means a buisness expert... but you'd think that the powers that be in Chicago would have realized that they were the only team blacking out the home games. If it was good for buisness, you'd think that other teams would have done it too. But no, they were the only ones. And they did it year after year after year. At some point you think that they would have caught on to the fact that it was bad for business, not good. Stubborn is as stubborn does, I guess.
Yemack 1 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 Chicago is third lasrgest US city and NHL needs big market like Chicago to flourish A good news for all hockey fans I would say. Although part of me worroies that they are gonna give us real hard time when Lidstrom retires

Flip-check 6 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 This is very good. You almost feel this is the first step in a franchise long dead, finally being brought back to life. It's only televised games, but I hope the Blackhawks will continue to be given the treatment they need.

haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted October 23, 2007 Man I hope that franchise finally turns it around and becomes a force in the West. Having a major market original six team be competitive again will be great for the NHL. Plus I can't wait to hate those b*stards again.
