esteef 2,679 Report post Posted November 3, 2007 burping it is when you press down on the middle of the lid which pushes the air out from one of the corners. it's always described as a burping sound... i don't know, i've never heard it burp, maybe on the older tupperware of the 70's though. They really don't design tupperware even remotely the same as the used to Actually, you put the lid all the way on first which will cause it to have a big bubble in the center, then you lift one corner slightly while pushing down in the middle. That's where you get the burping sound, when a lot of air is trying to escape the small hole in the corner. Anyway, tupperware rocks! It's what I learned to play drums on!!!!
