BobRouse03 31 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 http://blog.mlive.com/snapshots/2007/11/hi...ents_wings.html Can anyone explain to me what he means by this? Hitch usually has a dry sense of humor......my interpretation of the comment is this: He was kidding in saying that the Wings are typically so far ahead of the division that they "run and hide." The joke being that they run away from the other teams (i.e. have such a high point total) that they can't be caught and hide (e.g., that when they play their games against the division it doesnt usually mean anything to them say for 2 free points). I really doubt Hitch is implying that the Wings really "run and hide" from Columbus or any other opponents for that matter.

I figured it was a compliment of some sort, I just didn't know what he was refering to. But your right, that is dry.
SweWings 45 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 I guess Detroit's continuing greatness, season after season, is getting funny...
datsyukismyfriend 4 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 that is a strange comment. but i'll take it as a compliment, i guess. either way, hitchcock knows the score, the wings are far and away the class of the central.

Travis Justin 0 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 (edited) "There are going to be a lot of tough points out there, other than Detroit running and hiding from everybody." He's refering to the points as running and hiding, not Detroit. The quote should actually read: "There are going to be a lot of tough points out there, other than Detroit, running and hiding from everybody." That extra comma makes all the difference So he's just saying that Detroits not going to be the only tough team to get points against. Doggy 130 Report post Posted November 5, 2007 Sounds like he's saying the points available when you play Detroit are very elusive.

Travis Justin 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 (edited) Oh yeah, sure, you can use my signature, not like you stole it or anything Wow, that's actually kinda funny to me. I didn't steal it myself. A guy I knew, from a different forum, (I thought) made it for me. This was like almost a year ago. If I were you I'd take it as a compliment. Wonder if the avatar is stolen now too, since he supposedly made that too. Edited November 6, 2007 by Travis Justin
