i was thinking ... i got nothing to do with the site but i think it would be pretty cool if there was something on home page counting down zetterbergs quest to 50 goals , its been a while since we've had one and it would be cool to support hank to 50 , 37 goals to go , hes currently on pace for 66 so i think 50 is a definte possibilty , what do you guys think??

I'll admit it does sound like fun but the reality of it is that Matt is in the middle of rebuilding this website and probalby doesn't have the time to set something like that up and even though others may disagree I'm not about to follow a thread all season long following one players quest for 50 goals. I mean, I am a lazy son of a ***** (first post in months, only around two hundred total in like four years or something.) but still....

Setting point goals or win goals is not good. I will take a playoff birth and a legitimate shot at the cup over any individual stats.

obiviously id rather we make the playoffs and win th cup and all that stuff ..... but why cant we have a 50 goal scorer and a 100 pt player as well ?? its been a while since we had one of those ..... and as much as im gonna keep rooting for the wings to win every single game this year ill also be personally be rooting for zetterberg not only cause hes been my fav player for the last while now but because id love to see the guy get 100 + pts and 50 goals

k i didnt know the guy was busy i thought it woudnt take much to put like some white sheet with a number counting down how many he had left , it was just a suggestion im not gonna bug the guy , anyways to make it clear again the team winning and getting the cup is whats most important but im still rooting for zetterberg on a personal level to get to 50 and 100 pts

I believe he'll hit 60 but GordieSid&Ted seems to think that he'll be hard pressed to hit 25. Along with that shocking relevation, if Datsyuk doesn't score 30, we're going to miss the playoffs.

huh ???

OFF TOPIC: I don't think GST said any of that, but I think you eluded to the fact that since Zetterberg is on pace for 60 goals that there is an excellent chance he will get 60 goals, but of course Datsyuk being on pace for only 10 goals means nothing, he'll do better than that. You still fail to realize the point that GST was making, which is quite simple and I don't believe he was suggesting that Datysuk wasn't going to score or Zetterberg wasn't going to score. I don't think he used the same words, but I think the thought was that you should either go with projections (pace) or not, you can't point to it for one player than ignore it for another.

ON TOPIC: I think I'll just enjoy the streak Zetterberg is on right now and I'll start thinking about 50 when he has at least 30 goals and is still on pace for over 50.

Of note, Crosby tied him for the scoring lead tonight.
