Unusual to hand out 2 penalties to 2 players on the same team at once though both for hooking? That has to stop immediately, if not sooner. Stupid. And costly. We need another goal right now. moocat 1 Report post Posted November 14, 2007 NHL referees have no idea what the difference between a hook and stick check is. This rule that if the stick is horizontal it's hook is idiotic. It is totally possible to stick check a player at the waist level and not hook them. I was all for freeing up the game but frankly the refs look like retards calling this crap all the time. I don't disagree, but he took an excruciating penalty early in the game that might have something to do with why he's been sitting. A neutral zone interference call while the Wings had the puck, not good. Dennis Miller? Really? Well, for my money, he hasn't been as good since 9/11. It had a profound effect on him personally, and he became suddenly very politically partisan and it took away, IMO, from his routine. But the early shows I thought were pretty good.
