Lighten up. I love watching John Keating. Its some sick form of entertainment. I love how he thinks he is clever and funny. I would love to hang out with the guy haha.

He's terrible at what he does. For an organization like the Wings to keep a guy like him is ridiculous. He's an embarrassment when he interviews players between periods.

I saw him in the concourse the last couple of games. It took restraint not to go up to him and tell him he sucks.

I enjoy the sense of humor of John Keating, and happen to think he does a good job with the Wings, and with the Tigers. If no one else likes him, it doesn't matter because FSN Detroit likes him enough to have kept him around for the entire history of the network.

One of the highlights of the Tigers' 2006 run was when they clinched a playoff spot and the players mercilessly doused Keating wth champagne in the lockerroom. Hardly anyone else with FSN even got wet, but they unloaded on Keating every time they switched to him. Awesome.

What's wrong with that!?? He WAS a factor in the goals, it's a compliment to Downey.

I think Keating does a good job. Sure, he can be corney at times, but I think it's quite humorous. I think the players also have a good relationship with him, they aren't afraid to joke around with him and each other and I think that makes the interview more interesting and not the same old boring questions/answers.

Me too. I don't know, you can almost see that "I'm better than you" glint in his eye when he talks to players. And I hate that.

The Downey comment from tonight doesn't strike me as bad in of itself, but he just comes off as a dick to me... and that's why we need some LGW people to pull a coup and make him disappear. ^^ Like that HenrikRules40 girl, she could get the job done.

ahhh I know! It is just great. Plain and simple. I had to record the game last night, and I had to rewind about 10 times to watch him talk about relaxing and then going "oummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" haha
