Anyone who supports the way Dandy took out Sammy is a meat head. IMO, it wasn't that bad. Yes it deserves 2 minutes.. You play like that i dont give a rats ass if you get laid out..whether its from behind or not. Sammy showed all i needed to see when Morrow came calling after that stick incident. In fact, it was a textbook example of a sucker punch; Sammy had no idea it was coming, and he was taken down in such a way that his career could have easily ended right then and there. Sammy got up and was fine Moot point. If Draper had gotten up after Lemieux rearranged his face, would you have said, "No harm, no foul"? No, I don't think you would have. Lou, you need to stop running your mouth. I get it: you like the rough stuff. So do I. You like it when players defend their captains. So do I. But a player is a human first and a hockey player second, and roughing can only be taken so far on the ice before it becomes borderline criminal. There are many acceptable ways in which a player can send a message. Taking someone down from behind like that is not one of them. If you believe otherwise, you're a disgrace to the sport. Im old school....you see that the guy gets it. I stand by what i said, if Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Lidstrom take your pick is the one getting roughed up and Cleary comes flying in like Superman, the entire board would be in love with it. You people. you are right....dandy should have skated up behind sammy and tapped him on the shoulder a few times until sammy stopped what he was doing and asked him nicely to leave his best good friend alone.
