Around here (just outside of Boston) Fernandez was seriously compared to the acquisition of Kevin Garnett. Seriously not s***ting you, people were talking about him like he was the second coming of Andy Moog or Reggie Lemlin. He goes down, they play Thomas who has been a savior for them the past couple years as they dealt with Toivonen and Raycroft. They have Rask but he is an unknown entity (but the people around here love him, with good reason), and now you have Alex Auld who like Thomas, Fernandez, and Rask (hasn't had a chance yet) has never really proven to be a number one NHL goaltender. Cicada 4 Report post Posted December 6, 2007 Rask is going to be a star though... he's got a huge amount of skill...he's no Osgood though Fernandez had been a major dissapointment for them.
