interminded 1 Report post Posted December 8, 2007 It was a dumb move by Hasek. Not because of Gaborik, but he could have hurt himself ... bad ! I've been a goalie for a long time and sometimes in the heat of the game you make a wrong decision in a split second. But this one was plain stupid. I don't care if it's Ozzie or Dom, our goalies shouldn't and don't have to take risks like this.

Guest LivingtheDream Report post Posted December 8, 2007 Not much more - I like the line "schooled in every way." amd the reference to how the WIngs had the puck all the time and it was like they were playing against kids. Also how Hank and Dats and Lids were in their heads all night... Man, it just goes on and on. What I like about this is nobody expected the Wings to continue to be so dominant with the cap, retirements and our goalie situation. We are a whole new team, yet there are ties to the 90's Wings with puck possession... blah blah, it is just a fun time to be Wings fan.
SouthernWingsFan 854 Report post Posted December 8, 2007 I usually stay absent of GDTs, but the game got slowly more entertaining starting in the 2nd period. I'm not one to get overly excited at much in sports or in life and am usually a more resesrved person, but the entertaining Hasek/Gaborik play at the end got me off my couch in a hurry and a rare yell from me. Long/short of it it was a "legal" play and am glad neither player got hurt. If anybody wants to see my detailed opinion of it (you might actually get me to blush then in being flattered in caring that much about what I say ), see Hasek/Gaborik thread, somewhere in the 4th page of commentary me thinks. Good to see Hasek get 2 in a row and getting out of his rut, hopefully Osgood will continue to play solid this season either Sunday/Monday (I'm assuming rotation those back-to-back games). SouthernWingsFan's Man Love Weird Dream-O-Meter for the following players... Zetterberg and Datsyuk - Simmering and Noisy Downey - Slowly getting warmer, like a jacuzzi slowly heating up Hasek - Same Lidstrom - Always consistently hot like a sauna And with that, I'll end the what the f**k weird rambling where people will probably go OOOOOOOOKAY at me with these proabable reactions. *shrugs*

IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted December 8, 2007 What makes them think that they're Hockeytown now? There was actually a huge article on yahoo sports about it. It was released in the beginning of the season. Said the "hockeytown, USA" title has officially been stripped from Detroit. Went into saying we cannot possibly be hockeytown while not selling out in the Playoff's or Regular season. Then they went through a few teams in the US and it think the runners up was Buffalo and the winner of the title, "Hockeytown, U.S.A.", is Minny. I was not mad, really, I figured it was only a matter of time.
