b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted December 13, 2007 Hey everyone. I think we have a few tech-savvy people around the boards and I was wondering if anyone knew how to save video from the Highlight machine on NHL.com. I know when aflac did the GDT he would have it available to download the previous games highlights. anyways, just wondering if anyone knows how its done. Be good for some of us making compilations or just interested in saving some plays. THANKS!

T-Ruff 47 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 I've tried a program that records the screen in attempt to catpure TSN video; however, the area where the video was was simply a black square for the duration..... You also can't print-screen Windows Media Player so I would doubt that you can record it......

Rick 42 Report post Posted December 14, 2007 This is the best solution I have found: Replay Screencast or they make this one: Replay Media Catcher But that one looks similiar to the orbit downloader. Replay Screencast will work but it isn't free.

zaxx 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2007 Posted this on another thead prviously but this is my favorite method: 1. Install Firefox Web Browser: http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox/ 2. Install DownloadHelper Video Download Extension: http://www.downloadhelper.net 3. Visit NHL.com watch a video 4. Pause Video During playback and let it completely download 5. Riht click somewhere on the background (not on images or video) 6. Go "Downloadhelper->Select the file you want to download" This will give you the flv format of the video clip. You need to download an flv player like wimpy: http://www.wimpyplayer.com/products/wimpy_...flv_player.html Then you can watch the file whenever you want. However if you would like it in WMV format or anything else simply use an flv to wmv converter (search google they are out there)
