Barrie 900 Report post Posted December 27, 2007 I'm no super duper athlete but I try to run at least 3-4 times a week and it wears the hell out of me and it's not uncommon that I am sore. I stopped running because it was hurting my knees and back.

vangvace 12 Report post Posted December 27, 2007 Back injuries are shockers aren't they? You can rush them, all you can do is wait and hope that it improves. I'm a bit concerned about Hank's back and Holmstrom being out for a "minimum of 2 weeks" is a worry. Having had a deep knee bruise or two... because of the location it takes a while for the bruise to go away. Many times the majority of the bruising is inside the bones themselves. The nice (?) thing about this injury is there aren't normally the type to cause something else and doesn't change the structure of the knee like a tear might. Matt 1,049 Report post Posted December 27, 2007 Has anyone heard anything on Maltby? He's going to attempt to skate on his own sometime this week or next. Don't expect him to attempt to return to the lineup until mid-January at the earliest.
