Opie 308 Report post Posted January 29, 2008 Did any of you see the AHL all star game. I watched the first half of the game, and during that part they mentioned that Ken was the honorary captain of the team, and that his professional hockey career started as a player for Binghamton. They also mentioned that he has become one of the best GM's. I also saw some really decent puck movement from Ericsson last night too.

I'll be at the USHL All-Star game tonight, so I'll scout the talent for the Wings. The game takes place at the Resch Center in Green Bay, WI. Sidenote: The Stanley Cup arrived there yesterday and will be there until the conclusion of the game. I've never seen it in real life so I'm really pumped. Poor Ol' Yimmy Howard got lit the hell up... ended up getting the loss (against Drew McIntyre). They had some pretty nice plays. Oh and the Shoot out shooters... had some very nice moves. Sadly, way more exciting than the NHL all-star game and i barely could name 3 players Sidenote: The Stanley Cup arrived there yesterday and will be there until the conclusion of the game. Got to kiss it after the '97 cup amazing piece of artistry Edited January 29, 2008 by OsGOD

Even though I don't play in the NHL I still hold the utmost respect for the trophy and in my mind since I'll never win it, I won't touch it.

Yeah i am so not like that with it... obviously.... then again i like to touch shiny things so it all pretty much falls into that whole M.O. If i was a hockey player and had a dream to ever win it... then by all means that tradition would live on.. but since i went the way of Engineering... it doesn't bother me at all to touch it. I would be the same way about a Gold medal... the upmost sporting event award you can win for your country in the olympics... I would still hold it (maybe even put it around my neck) just to see what it would feel like had i chosen that path to be an olympian!
