Majsheppard 203 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 Seeing Zetter just scored his 30th and there are 29 games left, there is a significant chance for 50 goals for the Z. I think he can do this if he stays healthy for sure. Thoughts? Also I will also point out that 29 games left and 23 wins left to tie our wins mark.... Five wins for every loss will get us another record. I am hoping for 64 because that would be a better sounding record. What else may I have missed?
Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 I honestly don't think Z will reach 50. I wish he would, but 20 in 29 is a tough nut to crack on the Wings. Especially at the END of the season. But it is possible, throw in a couple 2 goal games and maybe a Trick or 2 and he just may do it.
Copenhagen848 58 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 I agree that it will be tough....but if anyone can do it - Z can! I'm really hoping they break their old record though, that would be great.
b.shanafan14 733 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 I think if Hank stays healthy the rest of the season, its POSSIBLE. But you have to consider that some players like Z might get a rest in the last couple weeks to get ready for playoffs, especially with his injury trouble. But I hope he gets his 50 goals. Z and Pav should both get to 95-100+ points. Lidstrom and Pav should end up #1 and #2 in +/- Lidstrom is a lock for Norris no. 6 Pav will win the Lady Byng for the 3rd straight year. Ozzy and Hasek will share a Jennings for GAA. Serious Selke consideration for Datsyuk with +/- coupled with takeaways Serious Jack Adams consideration for Babcock Serious Hart consideration for Lidstrom, Zata if he stays healthy, keeps pace (1.4 pts/game) Pav and Hank both in the running for Art Ross. President's Trophy should be a lock for the Red Wings. BUT, without a Stanley Cup, they will all be short lived victories.
Earthhuman 8 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 In the next month alone, there are fully 2 teams that are not difficult (considering that Boston is a decent defensive team). Besides, I am not confident that he will play all 29 games. I don't think he will do it. Maybe next year if he stays out of the corners and that line plays full-time with Cleary. wingnut40 176 Report post Posted February 2, 2008 I don't think it's likely that he'll make it, but if anyone can it's him. I think b.shanafan14 said it perfectly. Hank, Hank, he's our man. If he can't do it, Datsyuk can YEeeey. But seriously, if he gets some multi-goal games he can definitely get make it to 50. I'm hoping for another hat-trick for him.
