The Proper Way to Celebrate a Shootout Save

His intentions may have been to poke check the puck but he didn't, it's clear as day that his legs take out Gaborik before his stick ever gets there, his stick actually never even comes close to the puck. Anways, onto the best celebration ever:

I remember on NHL 04 or somewhere around there where you could do a celebration where you use your stick as a bow and shoot an arrow at the goalie. That one was sweet.

*edit* Damnit Opie beat me to it

Yup that was the celebration that came to my mind also.

Hasek intended to get the puck first. It's just that Gaborik wasn't paying any attention and got flipped for it. He's done it more times than I can count on both hands and feet in his career, just never against someone who must of had his eyes closed named Marion.

See, the player realized where Dom was and got out of the way just in time.

Another example, just a really awkward version of it.

As for the celebration, good stuff.

He must have seen that celebration on the older EA NHL games.

Haha... those were great. Remember the "homeplate slide" and "fireworks show" ones they had? Could you imagine if players did that on a regular basis? The league would be so much more entertaining. :P

That Euro goalie thing with the shirt over the face is awesome! Maybe I have just never seen it, but if I were in the NHL and scored some kind of awesome goal I would like to use my stick as an air guitar, perhaps even sliding on my knees and leaning back a bit while playing some awesome air guitar riff. Of course I would rightly and deservedly get nailed by some goon the next shift, so maybe I would only do it when scoring a playoff winning OT goal.
