CupChamps979802 35 Report post Posted February 17, 2008 I was browsing Bishop Custom Designs goalie mask artwork section and I came across a helmet he designed for Chris Osgood. Does anyone know if Ozzie plans to wear this, or whats the deal with it? The artist also designed Dom's current helmet, Jimmy Howard's helmet, Manny Legace's and Joey MacDonald's from when he was with Detroit. This was made because he ran out of the bird cage helmets he has now,and couldn't find them anywhere, until this past summer when he went to St.Louis and found a few. Also I could've sworn that I heard Ken Daniels say during a broadcast that they ordered some all the way from Russia and also was asking fans to send any they might have. I'm not sure about the helmet being a regular players helmet, but yeah Ozzie was in need of the helmets and was asking fans for it last season, but during this past summer Ozzie went to St.Louis because someone told him that they had a few of the bird cage hemlets. 34Legace34 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2008 cooper sk2000 with a cooper HM30 cage. they sell for alot on ebay considering the helmet/cage is around 20 years old. sometimes in the 200 dollar range. Cloutier went back to the same cage, but he is wearing a different custom helmet with more protection. p.s. a bird cage is suposed to be known as the square styled cages like hrudey and irbe had...those things are disgusting! Jocu 0 Report post Posted February 17, 2008 (edited) That is a Warwick Hasek helmet, not a Cooper SK2000 which Ozzy seems to prefer.
