dallas27 7 Report post Posted February 19, 2008 I'm quite sure Lidstrom is at least 80% machine so I'm sure he will be fine in no time.

Many times. Many, many times actually. Hope he gets better by the time they're back in the D. Then I can see him play again.
Sergeiwasmyfav 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2008 Where are those fools that were trying to say it was legal? GodieSid WHERE ARE YOU?? Didn't you say it was a clean hit and his elbow was tucked? LOL you fool. Way to class it up. You are right up there with Lappy in that department.
ben_usmc 253 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 It wasn't the dirtiest hit either, borderline at best. But Lids looked like he had a grin on his face when the linesman was holding him up, what a BA
Wings_Dynasty 267 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 Lidstrom's style, while incredibly effective, is just about the most boring style imaginable if you're watching live. That's a compliment to him. I want boring 5 on 5 hockey in our zone when he is on the ice and PP bullets any other time. But Lids looked like he had a grin on his face when the linesman was holding him up, what a BA "So that's what a body check feels like."
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 Let me guess: In your case "GMR" is short for "Gomer," right? That's a good one. You might be the smartest divealanche fan I've ever heard of with an IQ of around 40. Keep up the good work.

GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 (edited) Depends. If it's a healthy Avs team no one should be hoping to play them. I agree with you that the Avalanche are a dangerous team, when healthy. However, I must point out that the Red Wings spanked the Avs last night (all season, for that matter) and the Wings are not healthy by any stretch right now. The Avalanche are good when healthy, the Red Wings are downright scary. Edited February 20, 2008 by GoWings1905
LidsFan 68 Report post Posted February 20, 2008 I hope that he heals quickly. Watching a game without the Captain out there is going to be hard, but I hope this will motivate the team to play their best until he gets back. And I think that Cheli will be a great leader on the ice while they wait for Lidstrom to return.

Yes, being a die hard avs fan I can definitely admit that our goaltending situation needs work. Sometimes it feels as if we're either really good or REALLY bad. Both Budaj and Theodore have their strong points, but sometimes I wish that we could just stick with one or the other. I am partial to Budaj myself... Last night was a real tough game to watch, I thought about it alot at work today. I felt real bad for Lidstrom and I was trying to understand why Lappy would hit him like that because he's just not a dirty player. He's just generally a good guy, both on and off the ice. I was just a little embarrassed from last night's performance Nevertheless, I really hope that Lidstrom is alright....
