Homer feeling better

Tomas Holmstrom had an ultrasound and an MRI on his lower abdominals, this morning. The ultrasound results are back and showed nothing wrong. The MRI results will be back later today.

Encouragingly, Holmstrom said that after feeling sharp pain Saturday, he felt better on Sunday and better still today.

"It feels better and better every day," said Holmstrom. "Saturday was so bad. There was no way I could practice. I was worried."

Holmstrom said that he hopes to be able to practice with the Red Wings, tomorrow.

These players need to be absolutely 100% before coming back.

I was excited to see Norris Nick play fairly well (save for a few hiccups), and can't WAIT for Cleary to get back, but TAKE YOUR TIME!!!

is it just me or does chelios sound like a grumpy old fart ?

"I was ready yesterday, so I don't know what's going on," said Chelios. "I'm ready."

Cheli does not like the way Babs is handling him this year.

He wants to play every game, Babs wants to sit him on b2b's.

He wants to play now, Babs wants to save him for the playoffs.

Cheli will be happier in the playoffs!

Chelios just seems extremely competitive, hopefully he'll deal, and prepare for the playoffs where we need him the most.

as for Homer, i hope he comes back soon, and brings his usual self with him.

I think more like Homer was watching Franzen play yesterday and got competative that someone took his front office.

exactly, i think he's jealous that all the goalies in the league have their noses in someone else's backside ...

glad to hear he's feeling better, I look forward to seeing him back on the ice soon.

I was going to be really bummed if he wasn't healthy enough to play when we make our trip to Detroit next month. He was out with an injury when we went to the December game here in Denver....
