Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) Interesting game, commentators as usual suck. To Admin: Thanks for fixing the thread title! (Dunno if anyone other than Matt can do that.) Edited March 22, 2008 by CaliWingsNut
kylee 727 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 hey, im watching. 1-0 Sharks after 1. good game so far, very physical. of the lesser of two evils, im rooting for the sharks (simply so that the ducks wont catch the sharks in the standings and thus have to play the stars in the 1st round!) I'm actually for once rooting for ANA... SJ has been unstopable since the deadline.
kylee 727 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 i understand, but i just cant root for the ducks....no matter what. san jose has definitely been hot, but well see how they do in the playoffs, as we know all too well, regular season success doesn't really mean anything come april. It does as far as rank, and morale on the team.
StayStevieStay 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Anyone else see that Giguere was supposed to start the game but pulled out during the warm-ups apparently? Ducks arn't saying anything at this point....
Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) Anyone else see that Giguere was supposed to start the game but pulled out during the warm-ups apparently? Ducks arn't saying anything at this point.... yeah... the commentators said it was a last minute switch by the coach... has me wondering aswell. They did mention they have another game tomorrow... so if there's no news I assume he would be starting tomorrow... no news and no start = problem. Legendary D In 03 50 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 For a second, I saw 3-21, and I honestly was like "Holy s***, SJ has outscored them by 18 freakin goals!" But, then I realized "Man, he really should've denoted the date as 3/21 rather than 3-21." Eek. LDi03
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 As soon as I turned on the game, the Ducks scored. Literally the SECOND I turned it on.
Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Giggy is hurt... commentator said that he's been receving treatment on the bench, after disappearing after pregame skate. No idea how bad... could be minor
kylee 727 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 wild leading canucks 2-1 with about 10 minutes to go in the 3rd.
Cern 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 As soon as I turned on the game, the Ducks scored. Literally the SECOND I turned it on. During the 2004 playoff run there was a really weird trend where the Oilers would score whenever my dad left the TV to get chips or whatever, it would happen at least once a game. It got to the point where he would leave and return regularly during game 7 in the hope of it turning the tide of the game
Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) Now Hiller is cut... kept playing... Edited March 22, 2008 by CaliWingsNut
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Giguere's missing from the bench again and NOW Hiller's hurt. They just stitched him up (puck to the head), but that's gotta rattle him something fierce.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Yowza, great saves from Hiller there. Sharks almost just put this one out of reach.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) Anaheim being outshot 15-0 in the 3rd period with only 2:19 left in the 3rd. And seeing the last saves by Hiller, he should have been called for holding. That was ridiculous. Kunitz just took a run at Cheechoo, late hit and elbow to the head. Goon it up, goon it up. Kunitz should be suspended. Edited March 22, 2008 by edicius
Lou_Siffer 1 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Kunitz with the nasty hit on Cheechoo! For the love of god please get another goal SJ so things can get really out of hand!!!

Doggy 130 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 That was dirty. Typical Anaheim-style.
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Schneider plows into Nabokov, no call. I swear, I know the Ducks are the most penalized team in the league...but they're STILL not penalized enough. Sharks win. Hells yes. Ducks held without a single shot on goal in the entire 3rd period. How about that offense, eh? And I'll say it again...Kunitz should be suspended for that headshot to Cheechoo. Doggy 130 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Why did the Ducks just get away with running Nabokov?
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Do the Sharks always give out sticks during the 3-star selection? That's neat. Roenick's getting a standing ovation from the crowd. They can't even interview him because of it!
CrossoverThrash 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 WTF, Kunitz should be susepended for that cheap shot. Yiou know hes just trying to injure players for the playoff run, without a doubt, gross.
kylee 727 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) tsk tsk....typical anaheim. at least this pretty much assures that the ducks will play the stars in the 1st round. Edited March 22, 2008 by kylee
edicius 3,269 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) Why did the Ducks just get away with running Nabokov? Because they're the Ducks, duh. Seriously, like I said...I know they're the most penalized team in the league, but I'd like to know how much power play time opposition teams get against the Ducks. If the refs are constantly evening out the penalties and not leaving the Ducks shorthanded, the whole "most penalized" label is a misnomer. Hell yeah to the Sharks for winning in regulation. And hell yeah to JR for his league-leading 12th GWG of the season. Edited March 22, 2008 by edicius
