Lidsyukerberg 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Does anybody know what the heck Fox-D+ is and how to get it on Dish Network? I'm beginning to get sick and tired of chasing the games around. It seems like every time I upgrade my packages the games move again. What's going on?!? I realize that this is just one game, but I see it as a sign of things to come. WhiteLightning91 105 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 (edited) It is FSN Plus. Pretty much FSN's version of ESPN2. It is available on Dish Network. The channel varies by date but for today it's on channel 448. I think you need the most expensive package to get it though. Lidsyukerberg 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Thanks, that's kind of what I was thinking.
Yzermania19 1 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Be glad you're getting it - if you have Comcast basic cable you won't be able to watch tonight's game, because FSN Plus is on Comcast digital cable only...channel 900 or 901.
Lidsyukerberg 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 Well, I just went and tried that channel and it looks like it's an alternate channel. So far it appears as though I get it, not sure yet but keeping my fingers crossed. I looked to see if the game was listed on that channel for 7:00 (because right now it is just the screen that says Sports Alternate channel) and it did list the game. I set it to record because I am going to be busy later and it let me set it up to record so it looks promising so far. I have the Americas Top 250 pack (just so I could get stupid VS.), hopefully it doesn't require the Americas Everything pack or they can forget it, especially if they start broadcasting games on it next year. Anyway, we'll see how it turns out. Thanks for the tip.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 I have not missed a game all season and now I have to because of not having FSN plus. I am so pissed.
CenterIce 83 Report post Posted March 22, 2008 If you are not aware, when a sporting event is on the main FSN Detroit channel, FSN + is an alternate channel where you can access other events that may be on at the same time. Tonight, FSN Detroit is showing the CCHA Championship, so the Wings game is on FSN +. The FSN Detroit website list all alternate channels.

Yep...last season when that happened, we got the game on channel 8, but this year Comcast decided to move FSN Plus to digital cable. If you have Comcast, you can only access it if you have digital cable. And apparently that's no guarantee either - a few of my friends didn't get it tonight and when they called Comcast to find out what the deal was, they got the lovely, "Due to high call volumes we cannot connect your call at this time. Please try again later." The "high call volumes" were probably due to everyone calling to complain they can't watch the game!!
Nero 20 Report post Posted March 23, 2008 Comcast f***ed up tonight. No Comcast customer (except maybe those with other sports packages) saw the game. We should form a cult.
