Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Do you awnt the falmes to win because you want to play Vancouver or don't want to play Vancouver? Luongo and his big ass pads scare me. Our boys like to fire pucks right at peoples' chests with big pads on...sigh cough giguere cough... I'm not trying to single you out in perticular... but god damn I hate it when people say this stuff. I mean wtf? How the hell does changing your pads to give you 8-10% more surface area suddenly rocket you into "top goalies in the NHL" status?!? I'm sure you'd take whatever advantage was availible to you if you were a professional athelete like they are. Big pads? Yes. Big talent? Even more so! Face it people- Giggy and Lu are fantastic goalies, regardless of whether they use a 1" additional thigh-rise pad or not.
kylee 727 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Coyotes Down 3-1 about 9:30 to go in the game. doubt the Sharks will give up this lead, they've pretty much controlled the entire game. no real surprise here, but i tuned in hoping for an upset. the Wings clinch of the conference will have to wait. HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Sharks win 3-1. BOOO. Sharks need to lose one of their next three games, or we need a point in our next three to clinch the conference/1st overall in the league.

Face it people- Giggy and Lu are fantastic goalies, regardless of whether they use a 1" additional thigh-rise pad or not. I agree and disagree with you. I know that is almost impossible but hear me out. I do think Lu and JS wear huge pads, probably to big. I think that the goalies of the league really take advantage of the system. I do not think that if anyone straps on huge pads they will be NHL top netminders. I think the size needs to be regulated. Brody is probably the best goalie in the league and he wears smaller pads then the smallest goaltenders, Dom is also a great that does not use oversized pads. I do not get angry when people talk crap about the opposing goalies and you should not either. We are all fans and we all say things in our own way. We make fun of the players, equipment and any other issue they have. It gives us comfort and should not be looked down upon for it. I do think if JS's pads were restricted you wuld see a decline in play.
HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted March 31, 2008 Nucks winning 6-2 in the third.. I just realized it's very possible that the Wings and Flames meet again in Round 1. No one has said anything bout it, but it could very well happen.
