96Homer 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2008 Getting Healthy in Detroit Tuesday, Apr 1, 2008 8:31 am EDT Walking wounded getting healthy in Detroit Tomas Holmstrom could return to the ice for the Detroit Red Wings Wednesday in Chicago according to the Detroit News. "Today it felt way, way better," Holmstrom said of his groin injury. "(It was encouraging). It would be nice to get some games in before the playoffs. I've been out a long time. It would be nice to get one or two games." Monday's workout was a limited one, so Holmstrom was looking forward to today's full practice with contact and skating drills. As good as he felt, if Holmstrom can get through today's activities, he'll feel even better about things. Brad Stuart (broken finger) practiced Monday and is on course to be ready for the playoff opener next week. Mikael Samuelsson (groin) is day to day but could play the last regular-season game Sunday against Chicago. Dominik Hasek will start in net Wednesday and Sunday. kylee 727 Report post Posted April 1, 2008 wow that is some good news for sure. i really miss Holmstrom being out there and doing his usual thing. Franzen is good, but Holmstrom is 2nd to none in front of the net and his tips.
