NeverForgetMac25 483 Report post Posted April 2, 2008 While some of you have been enjoying the NHL Network and its 24/7 hockey programming certain areas don't offer it in their cable packages. My local provieder is Time Warner and I pay for NHL Center Ice every year, have Versus included in my regular programming and needless to say get all the NBC games as well. That being said, as most of you know the NHLN has pulled games throughout the year from Center Ice which screws us subscribers out of something we've already paid in full for and blacks them out on the CI channel. The NHL Network is not availabe in my area otherwise I would have paid the additional amount a long time ago to get it added. My question is simple, after doing a little research (with no luck) I'm curious about the playoffs and the NHL Network. Will they be able to continue pulling games from Center Ice thus making us CI subscribers without the ability to watch the NHL Network get screwed out Wings playoff games? I know Versus pulls a huge chunk of these games, but CI still shows the remaining few games each night of the first two rounds and I'm extremely concerned about missing a Red Wings playoff game. Any info would be apprecaited....
Anomalously 0 Report post Posted April 2, 2008 Impossible to say because there are no playoff schedules yet. All Wings playoff games were on Versus last year, many of them on the shared CBC feed.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted April 2, 2008 (edited) this topic makes my stomach hurt. My head already hurts. I have just about thrown in the towel on any sort of consistency where hockey (Wings) broadcasts are concerned, regardless of what one pays or says or does. If I find out anything, I will post. TSN and NHLN Article about TSN teaming up with NHLN. I doubt the programs mentioned would be on CI anyway. Nothing about playoff schedules yet, though. Hoping and praying NHLN leaves it alone.
