Wow, didn't think it was a 10 day thing. That sucks. But we'll be just fine till Malts gets back. Malts will definitely not make or break our chances anyways.

Why would Babs scratch DMac?? I must have lost count of our players, who will be the 6th dman if Meech plays forward?

Yeah I was wondering whats up too. Especially with benching Mac in basically a meaningless game. I forget the kid's name, but someone from State is in for us tonight.

Honestly, as bad as this sounds, there are about 12-15 other players on this team that I would be more worried about not having for the playoffs. As long as Drapes and Homer are back for the playoffs...

Exactly.

I think its pretty clear Babs is going every other game for Mac. At this point it looks like hes just going to be around for playoff depth. And Mac is definitely a guy you can expect to pick it up in the playoffs. Im not too worried about this.

My bad on posting on about him being out the entire round. They aren't really sure though so who knows.

Yeah but 10 days is certainly a big chunk of the 1st round.

True, but I wonder if it's 10 days from now? If that's the case then he'd just miss the first two games. Hmmm.. The Wings need to be more clear!

Yeah I think that's best case scenario. Let's hope!

Uhh, and add Kopecky to the list. That looked IMO to be a ACL type injury which is bad....

It is a good year to have this absurd-kinda depth.

Serriously, everyone who has laced them up for us has looked pretty good.

Stuart and Homer should do the trick but I'd love to have a bored medical staff for a change.

I don't want to see any of our players injured, but the team can only improve with him out of the lineup. If Kirk Maltby wasn't Kirk Maltby - the key cog in the grindline on the Stanley Cup teams - he wouldn't have a place on this roster at all.

 was waiting for someone to say it. I agree.

me too

Worried about Kopecky though - he's been playing OK lately

Plus having a lot of players coming back from injury - as we know from playoffs past, its very hard to come back and get straight up to playoff speed, especially if you're not coming back 100% as Drapes, Stuart and Homer undoubetdly won't

Hits on the outside of the knee will affect the MCL, not the ACL.

Given that Stuart's injury has allowed him to continue skating, he won't be at much less than 100%.

Kopecky is out 4-6 months with a torn ACL.

Yeah, but how well can he grip the stick? How well can he pass the puck? How well can he shoot? How will he react when his hands get slashed? (and expect him to take a lot of subtle whacks on the hands)
