I used to like Darren Pang, but he's just acting like an idiot.

That was one of the craziest periods in a long while. There's too much to talk about. Terrible penalty calls, weird goals, head shots, great chances, the worst analysis of a game I've ever heard, Hasek playing like a lunatic, etc. etc.

The constant Detroit-bashing on the part of NBC is quite puzzling. I don't quite understand it. Maybe Pierre had a bad experience with an octopus in another life.

Anyway, I'm expecting a frantic third period.

Lots of criticizing of the Red Wings from NBC.

Hasek's been average? What game have you been watching? He let in one goal, and Nashville had about nineteen chances in the first period that he stoned them all on. He's been awesome so far.

Hasek's been good mostly. but he was alone responsible for one dumb

goal and had his share of guilt in another one. not to mention he didn't

draw proper conclusion from that and still played recklessly later in the

period.

I don't want to see him leaving net. he just asks for problems.

I don't want to see him throwing away 2 goal advantage and look

for the rest of the team to bail his ass out.

Hasek's been solid but made 3 terrible mistakes of which 2 ended

with goals. TSN is perfectly right in calling this out

I'm willing to give Pang the benefit of the doubt on that one. Either it was interpreted the wrong way or vocalized incorrectly. He's normally a very smart, respectable analyst.

No homerism here, thank you. Yes, despite the Dom worshippers here who would make thanksgiving gravy from the juice in the guys jock strap, he screwed up bad. As much as he kept us in this game in the first, he blew it in the second.

It's more amusing now because the only reason people are like that is because Detroit is just so damn good.

It's just a stupid line by another announcer. Tootoo touches one guy on Detroit and I'm sure he'll have his head bitten off in the next ten minutes.

You can't say the first goal was his fault. You can't. Any goalie in the NHL plays that puck, the trailing Pred was behind the blue line when it was dumped. It took a terrible bounce and ended up in front of the goal. Not even close to his fault. If he doesn't play that puck, the Nashville player gets there before any Red Wing does.

The second was a tough break, but let's not take away from how many incredible saves he made in the first period because of a few goals caused by a freak bounce and a turnover in our own zone.
