We forced the Predators to play their typical burn out in the 1st style of play, limited them to few second chance scoring opportunities, and walked away with a lead. Also good to see McCarty of all skaters to get the goal, and Chelios back out on the ice after a slight injury scare from s***bag's charging no-call. I also liked Lilja pushing back at s***bag after he shot the puck at him, granted I was surprised s***bag didn't start throwing blind hay-makers as per normal the moment that scrum began. I don't care if this sounds harsh, but given all his bulls*** about being a representative on the Inuits he has no dignity and has chosen to be a cheap shot goon. Plenty of people had hd deaths in the family and not turned it into being an angry prick. It's not harsh. Lillypad's hit on Tootoo was awesome...just for a shot after the whistle. That is awesome. Darren McCarty's goal! That s*** is what I am talkingabout!!! Oh, Ellis isn't the same goalie in this game. He is letting out some juicy rebounds in front of the net. From what I counted, three rebounds should have been goals. Filppula's missed rebound was the last one. Seeing McCarty score was pure elation. I could not be happier for him. That was probably Dominik Hasek's best period of the entire season. He was stellar. The power play will need to be better, especially if we get out of the first round. It hasn't produced very much at all thus far this series. As for Tootoo, the guy is a F-ing clown. He has zero respect for the game or its players and he proves it time and again. I hope some day someone takes him out.
