tazzer82 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 Trotz and Poile need to stop crying about the refs being out to get them in the series. Maybe focus on your captain taking more than 1 shot, or your top guys not scoring. I'm sure Nashville will get away with plenty of penalties the next couple of games, seeing how much whining has been done so far. Poile peeved Nashville general manager David Poile vented about the officiating between periods. "The winning goal (by Henrik Zetterberg Thursday) was offsides. I've seen that play a thousand times and it's blown dead every time,'' Poile said. "(Tomas) Holmstrom, he's got his foot in the crease (on Nicklas Lidstrom's second-period goal Saturday). (Referee) Kerry Fraser's right there. "Just make the right call. Between officials and supervisors, we can't get the right call.'' http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index....ios_makes.html

asmith18 3 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 If Nashville gets swept, Trotz just wants to put on a show so he looks like he's an intense coach. There was the one penalty then too many men on the ice, coach's fault! In hockey there are funny bounces, its anyone game, and how the goalie is. Barry can whine all he wants. Get over it. GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 (edited) At least they make noise almost the entire game... True, but their timing is pathetic. Chanting Hasek's name when the team is losing or "Red Wings Suck" when their franchise has never won a playoff series? I don't care if they cheer, but they certainly don't do it at the best times. What are they supposed to do then if they haven't been in the league long enough or what you said above? Nothing? Sit on their hands like many people at JLA do? I understand the respect factor but again, Red Wings fans giving Nashville fans lessons on cheering etiquette is just so hypocritical when some Detroit fans seem to struggle speaking more than a whisper at a game. The Joe gets mighty loud when it needs to. We are just used to good plays all the time. Call us spoiled, but we're still into the game as much as any fan. Opie 308 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 Trotz should be more upset that his team went in off-side a few times on 3 on 2 rushes. A few, a few, did you just type a few times!! I started taking shots after every time they were offsides, by the time the third period started I had switched to water, and I am not bragging here but I can handle my booze and put some back. That was just too much alcohol for me!!!
OsGOD 3 Report post Posted April 14, 2008 The Joe gets mighty loud when it needs to. We are just used to good plays all the time. Call us spoiled, but we're still into the game as much as any fan. exactly.... and even moreso the wings are, despite all the talent upfront, very guilty of lack luster and boring hockey play for long periods of any game... Or like in Game 2 you give up two horrific goals in like 25sec... not a whole of noise to be made other than STAY IN THE ******* NET!!! could be heard. Seeing the game on TV and being there are two totally different things... At home you have to rely on the Mics in the arena and the speakers on your TV to give you what you hope will be TRUE SOUND. often as with the first two games so far... that FAILS. the joe was so much louder in person than it was on TV.
