Redwingsfan18 1 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 Americas Most Miserable Sports Cities I'm a big sports fan so I found this very interesting - but it also made me realize just how lucky I am to be a Detroit sports fan. I realize not everyone here on LGW is from Detroit or likes Detroit sports like I do but I've got to imagine there's a majority who does. Either way, good read. Guest ForeChecK Report post Posted April 13, 2008 Detroit fans are blessed. every year every team has a chance for the championship Tigers - Recently have been good, had there stint of nothingness, But are a storied franchise. Pistons - Good amount of years now, another storied franchise Lions - Early Draft Picks are our superbowl, Which means we excell every year. Wings - No need to explain. Barrie 900 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 (edited) I'm a little surprised Denver made the top 10 considering the Avs and Broncos have combined for 4 Championships since 1996. And the Rockies have been decent. Edit: Well I guess that's their only 4. Edited April 13, 2008 by Barrie

Can we call them a one-hit wonder.... they pretty much are embarrasing right now
IceMunkee 15 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 What is funny is how bad fans think they have it here. Maybe it is just how fickle fans can be but when you turn on the radio after a game and they are deabting why the wings did not score more and are not as good because they should've blown out Nash, makes you wonder. Anyhow go Wings, Tigs, Pistons, and even those silly kitties.

Millertime 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2008 Looking at that list, Cleveland needs to be ALOT higher on the list. Cavs havnt won crap, the Tribe went to a few world series in the 90's but didnt win and the Browns left and the Ravens won a superbowl a few years later. That would kill me. Plus most of them might root for Ohio State.

At least the Rockies run to the World Series helped numb the pain.
