I don't see dallas completely choking the series away. I do agree that people counted the ducks down and out too quickly though.

I agree. This could be one of those weird series that goes deep but with few close games. But I'm not sure that many people in here realistically thought the Ducks were going to go down easily. The people that did were probably the same ones who expected the Wings to sweep with a combined score of 17-3 and are currently pissed that they didn't :)

Disappointed Boston lost, but very happy with the Flyers! Im still holding on to hope the B's can come back, even though it looks unlikely right now.

The Sharks look friggin' awful. They look like they've already given up. Calgary has had about 4 or 5 unbelievable scoring chances already, with Iggy converting on one of them. 1-0 Calgary.

On the bright side for us, if SJ starts tanking this game this would be the one i'd expect about 4 fights in.

Their defense is atrocious. They've given up way too many goals in this series, which is why they're losing. I don't think they're that much worse than Philly on paper, it's just their philosophy which is dangerous come playoff time. Anytime your strategy is to simply outscore the other team, you're taking a big risk as a team. They need to bolster their defense in the offseason with more defensive minded defenseman, since Green is more offensive minded even though he's molding into a star.

Agreed, however I do firmly believe Philly is a better team all-round.

IMO, defense is the most important part of being a champion team. Whether that good D comes from the goalie or the checking forwards or the defensemen doesn't matter. Being able to prevent your opponents from scoring is the best ingredient to winning a Cup. No team I've seen has ever won a Cup without excellent defense.

We all know how fragile the Sharks can be and you have to wonder just how much "damage" blowing that 3 goal lead has done to the team and can they recover?. Still early I know but this is the Sharks we're talking about here lol

Yeah, well, the Flames better take advantage and bury them while they have the chance.

2-0 Avs. Wolski with the goal.

The Sharks were soft last year we all know that.

Off-topic, 2-0 Dives.

There is no doubt Philly is the better team. I felt the only way they'd lose this series, or really any series in the East for that matter, is if Biron totally laid an egg and sucked, but its looking like he's going to hold up. This is a good team with a very good forward group especially.
