Agree with the comments on getting a goal on Budaj before we go to Colorado. I'm seriously worried about having him start. I can't take another series where we have 50 shots w/ one goal and our opponent takes half as many and scores double than us.

Pretty lazy second half of that period. Pretty much like game 1. Was hoping we could open up on Budaj with that parade to the box and crush his confidence too. Disappointing really.

Alright, for the 3rd period, Detroit needs to kick it up a little. We had tons of power play time near the end of the period and failed to complete when Budaj came in. That seems to be the opposite of what we want. Budaj is undoubtedly going to be starting game 3 (unless Coach Q is really that hard headed) and the last thing we want is him having confidence.

Other than that, what a wonderful game so far. Let's go Red Wings!

The Wings clearly did not pressure to score on both 5-3s.

BTW, I wouldn't worry too much about Budaj. If Colorado's offense can only manage ten shots after two period in Denver then they will be going home.

I'm not worried about Budaj. Detroit has slowed down the offense like in past games. Budaj comes in after the Wings are kicking arse. If the Wings went at him full speed, he'd be out like Theo

This is nuts. We went lite on them for the last, what was it, 4 power plays. I can't believe how we are dominating in their end. I am sort of scared though. Osgood hasn't really even been tested today. Franzenstien is the man. He is an unstoppable force. 2 games in a row...1st star on NHL.com. He is all over the place. I don't think Forsberg has anything to do with it either. Their D would be the same..right?

Jesus Wings fans are so hard to please. We're up 4-0 and everyone still has stuff to ***** about. Lets just be happy that we've held onto the lead for over half the game. And as for all the powerplays? I dont think you guys realize how tired our boys were out there or how much energy you use up on a PP to begin with..

he is, BUT he has actually said a few good things about the wings this game(ex. the they haven't paniced once thing, etc). Maybe he is starting to realize his anti-wings antics are getting him nowhere. Though I'd say the dumbest thing I've heard him say today was when the wings were hitting every av near the puck on a shift in the first I believe and comletely outplaying and outhiting them and out of nowhere Pierre is like "isn't this great how the avs are grinding right now?!" or something in that nature. Oh well, he'll learn.
