bluejackets61 0 Report post Posted April 30, 2008 oops I didnt even say who I thought should win. I'll actually for Malkin on this one, saying that even surprised me. I know Ovy deserves it and is probably gunna take it home but what Malking did sans Crosby was amazing. Plus I'm not a big Crosby fan so the vision I have of him watchin Malkin light it up and lead "his team" night after night makes me all happy inside. (crosbys playoff facial hair isn't helping him out in how I see him. Great hockey player tho)

Good thing you don't vote for this award.

eva unit zero 271 Report post Posted May 1, 2008 Lol. ...awaits stats.... Ok, here's a stat for you. Brodeur is the best goalie in the league, and has no teammates who are up for 'best <position>' awards like Iginla does. On top of that, New Jersey did better than Calgary. Brodeur was probably his team's best player more than 90% of the time. Iginla had several guys competing with him for that honor on a nightly basis. So no, Iginla was NOT as valuable as Brodeur. Top five, maybe. Top ten, probably. Top three? Not a chance in hell.
