lol ex-Star Pat Verbeek is being interviewed on FSN Southwest. He's there doing advanced scouting for the Wings on his ex-team.

Edit: Yes, I know he played for the Wings too, but I still found it funny.

The Habs and the Rags are denying me a chance at my dream of an all Original 6 Cup Final. But the bright side is that a Pens-Flyers series will be a beauty. An ugly, ugly beauty.

Yeah, I certainly won't complain if there is a Pens-Flyers matchup.

Can VS. talk about a different series other than the Rangers and Penguins for one game??? I'm so tired of hearing about this series. Talk about wayyy over-analyzed.

I enjoy the fact that the Wings are on the back burner. We play better when we're not the "front runner" :D

The Dallas announcers just raised an interesting point: the Stars have been dressing only 11 forwards, and with the Barnaby injury they couldn't field a full 4 lines if they wanted to.

That lack of depth up front could really create problems for Dallas if they get into a long series or have more injuries, regardless of how many options Ribeiro, Modano, and Richards give them.

They keep showing close ups of Ron Wilson here, and he has this incredibly pensive look on his face. He's not barking at anyone, not encouraging anyone, not shouting directions or anything. He looks like he's two Stars goals away from unemployment, and he thinks they're coming.
