katiephd 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 He looks amazingly confident and having fun. I will not be surprised if he breaks the record for shut out minutes. He does. It's been funny watching our opponents try to knock him off his game because it's impossible. His philosophy (aka "I just play between the buzzers." and "I don't think about the past.") could be taken as trite, but he's absolutely 100% sincere about it. And, it's great to see him having fun. It was sorta sad to see Malkin say, "I'm tired." (I realize he's on the losing end of it, but still.) This is the Stanley Cup Final. Once in a lifetime. Enjoy it, relish it, make the most of it. What is the record for shut out minutes?

What is the record for shut out minutes? 188, achieved by a Toronto goalie.
The_Cub 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 (edited) He is in their heads now. Oh and pretty much every goalie in the league is a diver when they get bumped and the puck isn't close to going in. Edited May 27, 2008 by The_Cub
Cern 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 (edited) Let's give Pittsburgh the benefit of the doubt and say that the refs call Ozzie out for diving. Would the Penguins have scored, let alone won the game? Unlikely; they were simply incapable of generating offense in the Wings' zone, Detroit's blue line was skating circles around the Penguins and kept Crosby smothered from start to finish. Nev 1,085 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 It can't be denied that Ozzie has gone down rather easily on more than one occasion. But then again, nor can it be denied that 1) The Pens have tried to run him 2) He is playing great 3) His embellishments have absolutely nothing to do with Pittsburgh getting totally pwned the last two games. Cern 0 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 Wonder what was said between Ozzie and Crybaby: Ozzie = "YOU. SHALL. NOT. PASS."

HockeyCrazy3033 168 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 Anyone else thing Ozzie's save after the first goalie interference call was amazing. The whistle blew, but the Pens shot it anyway and Ozzie saved it while on his size. Highlight save and it didn't even count That save was great! Even though it didn't count I was totally outta my seat on that one.
Vladimir316 28 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 I am sorry but was this actually a discussion on tv, about Ozzie diving and taking a easy penalty? What about Holmstrom getting penalties when he is 2 feet from the crease? And what about all the other goalies who take the easy road to screw somebody over? And do not let me start about the biggest baby Crosby.... picture above; OZZIE says; "Crosby take the dive.... right now!"
Barrie 900 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 At that point in the game, I thought Ozzie falling after being hit was excellent timing. A lot of sports and competition is mind games and Ozzie's been around the block enough to know it. Ozzie has the Pens talking and worrying more about him diving, instead of being shutout two straight games. Good job Ozzie

Vladimir316 28 Report post Posted May 27, 2008 By the way, the biggest diver was Lilja.. that was so funny in 2nd period (after Pens missed their chance)
