Where do the extra players sit when they aren't in the lineup?

I was wondering where McCarty, Cheli, Kopecky, etc., sit when they aren't in the lineup? Do they come into the locker room during the intermissions and pump up the team and let them know what adjustments they would make?

I always wondered where they were and was curious if anyone knew.

I know that some of them will ride the bikes or work out the entire game. Don't know what they do it they don't do that though...

I am pretty sure that I have read they often work out in the locker room and watch the game on a tv in the locker room. I have also heard that some will sit in the press box to watch the game.
