He was a hell of a hockey player and looked pretty decent through the Wings series - and he was obviously a great leader, having been a captain before.

I'm baffled he's thinking CARPENTRY as his next role, but good for him - I wish him luck with whatever he does from here out.

If he likes [carpentry], why not? He's got enough money to start his own business, he's fairly young, he needs some additional income.

He had a good career. Good Western Conference styled defenseman.

If I'm not wrong informed Holmstrom were a (perhaps part-time) carpenter before playing in the NHL.
