When Holland speaks about Howard he doesn't sound thrilled about his progress. Miller Time in 09'!

Where are you actually coming to that conclusion in the articles you have read? In my opinion, from what I take from the articles is that Holland believes Howard's ready for NHL duty but wants to consult the other members of the front office.

i don't necessarily call Howard a prospect anymore

How in the world is he not a prospect? I'd suggest you look up the definition of the word.

if you assume Howard is coming to regular NHL duty this coming season

Wings stay with just Larsson.

and to me the assumption seems very logic. about time to give Jimmy

a shot and give the Griffs spot to Larsson.

Even though I'd agree that Howard is highly likely to see regular NHL time this coming season, I think we all know that Howard won't be handed anything and it'll be earned in camp this fall. This seems more about debating semantics -- to me Howard is still a prospect until he actually sees regular NHL duty, in the same vein that a Darren Helm plugged in during the playoff run or Ericsson saw time when the defense was decimated by injury last February.

maybe he can hang out with Chelios in Malibu,

says in his bio he'd be a surfer if he wasn't a hockey player..

he's a USHL player.. do we know if he's going NCAA?

Nicastro sounds like a typical red Wing d-man

"Nicastro plays a very good all-round game, but is first and foremost very responsible in his own end. He’s good puckhandling blueliner, who can make a great first pass or join the rush when needed. He makes good reads at both ends of the ice. He has showed that he is able to get on the right side of the opposing player and attack effectively, causing turnovers with his stick work. He’s good at closing up lanes and stealing passes. He was used in all situations for the Steel and played on top power play and penalty-kill units. Nicastro has good offensive upside, plays the puck well, has good vision and big shot."
