Cicada 4 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 (edited) Ottawa getting some swedes didn't they just hire a new Swedish scout who was reccomended by Hakan Andersson to them? maybe if they draft every single Sweish player they'res no chance for us to get our secret weapon... draft by blocking? Systemfel 33 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 (edited) 4 121 DET GUSTAV NYQUIST Sep 1, 1989 HALMSTAD SE 5' 10" 169 SWE-JR. MALMO JR. C Gee, quite small... He's going to University of Maine next year. From eliteprospects.com: A very speedy forward with impressive agility, acceleration and top speed. Nyquist has also good hockey sense, good technical skills and plenty of creativity. An entertaining player to watch that likes to challenge his opponents. Still, fairly allround and a good scorer and passer. Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 (edited) ugh, I think I'm just going to avoid letsgowings.com the rest of the draft. Grow up. Aussie_Wing 354 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 From a poster at HF Boards: RE: gustav nyquist just wondering where people think he'll go in the draft, i see he ranked pretty low but i've seen a few people saying he's a sleeper pick. to me he seems like he'll be the zedeberg of this draft, guy who was passed over last year because he was small(i think he was 5"8 150) but now he's grown to 5"11 175, missed alot of time this year with injuries much like zedeberg too. the scouting reports i've seen say he was the leading scorer in the swedish jr league till he got hurt and that he has a ton of skill, great speed, good 2 way guy with good work ethic. he's also going to maine next year so whoever gets him will have 4 years to let him develop. if anyone has another scouting report or knows more about him it would be great to know. Cicada 4 Report post Posted June 21, 2008 Grow up. I'm not one of these 'lets bad Holland and co for every pick', I am simply stating the facts. if Tyler friggin Ennis at 4 feet 9 or whatever the hell he is can get picked in the 1st round, i'm not going to moan about a 5 feet 10 player, which is still half a foot taller than Jiri Hudler
