marcaractac 3,963 Report post Posted June 25, 2008 Lilja is a great fit with this team. It's sad that many people don't see logic in that at all. It's like, who do you people expect to have on our 3rd pairing? He is a real good 5th/6th Dman, and we can never have too much depth there. Even is he spends a lot of the season on the 2np pairing, I have no issue with that either. As long as we have a legit #4 by the trade deadline (much like this past season) then I'm all for it. RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted June 25, 2008 It has been said that Stuart's step-children are not allowed to move out of the state or their mother could lose custody, not sure if anyone can do much about that....however, I am not sure if this is true. If it was it would sure make Stuart look a little sketchy with all his comments about wanting to come back to detroit. It seems he never intended this in the first place. Ah, I didn't know he had step-children, so yeah that makes sense. If that is the case, then clearly Holland knew of that situation when he traded for him. This makes it pretty clear that Holland figured Stu was here just for the POs. Explains the decent offer of 3 mill but not much room to budge.
